At Verified Hearing, we offer Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) to support people living with the challenges of tinnitus. TRT combines gentle sound therapy with tailored counselling to help reduce the brain’s focus on tinnitus and change the way it is perceived. Over time, the sound becomes less noticeable and less distressing, allowing it to fade into the background of everyday life. While not an instant solution, it is a solution that works. Our approach is designed to give you long-term relief and help you regain a sense of control and quality of life.
Ringing, buzzing, pulsating or hissing sounds can dominate your attention, especially in quiet or at night. Our London‑based team helps you change your brain’s reaction so the sound fades into the background of everyday life using the NeuroQuiet training method (link this to our main tinnitus page).
We review your history, lifestyle and hearing (with audiometry if needed) to tailor your plan and rule out red flags.
Structured education reframes tinnitus as a non‑threatening signal and reduces the emotional/autonomic response.
Low‑level sound enrichment (with or without hearing aids) lowers contrast with tinnitus to support habituation.
We integrate practical strategies for sleep, stress and attention because the goal is quality of life, not quick masking.
Habituation builds gradually. We schedule check‑ins, adjust sound settings, and track your progress.
Most people report that tinnitus becomes far less intrusive, with fewer spikes and better sleep/attention.
Who should book this?
This is for patients who already have recent medical clearance for their tinnitus i.e. comprehensive hearing test, otoacoustic emissions, tympanometry (if indicated), decision on if ENT consultant referral is needed for MRI. If you have done this within the past 6 months, you are eligible for the tinnitus consultation appointment. Otherwise please book the NeuroQuiet Assessment where we perform the aforementioned tests alongside your tinnitus consultation.
We combined assessments and procedures worth £737 into one appointment so you only pay £499.
Benefit for choosing this plan
The Cost of NeuroQuiet Assessment deducted from your treatment plan.
