City of Westminster Tinnitus Support Group
About the group
Open to adults living with tinnitus who reside or work in an easily commutable distance to Central London. Facilitated by volunteers and a friendly local audiologist, Awajimijana Otana, it is a safe self-help group. The group shares evidence-based information on tinnitus and gives support to each other.
Where the group meets
126 Wigmore Street
The host is Verified Hearing. Once you arrive, please press the buzzer labelled “Verified Hearing”. A member of staff would let you into the building and show you to the meeting room on the first floor.
How to get there
By car: Underground secured parking is available at Cavendish Square and Chandos Street. Elsewhere, metered parking is widely available in the surrounding streets.
By rail: The nearest tube stations are Bond Street (Central and Jubilee Line), Baker Street (Metropolitan, Bakerloo and Jubilee Line) and Oxford Circus (Victoria, Bakerloo and Central Line). These stations are only a short walk away.
When the group meets
We meet every 1st Saturday of the month from 12-13:30pm
Next meeting date: 05 March 2022
To effectively minimise any risk of transmission of COVID-19, we can only accommodate 10 attendees at any given time. The group will start out with one session a month and there is capacity to add more sessions if the demand increases.
Additional information (e.g. car parking, access issues, donation requested)
Verified Hearing will undertake the cost of the meeting venue. If you would like to make any donations, we would kindly ask it goes directly to the British Tinnitus Association to support the great work they are doing to support persons living with tinnitus. Unfortunately, there are no lifts in this building so disability access is limited.
