Is the Signia Silk an invisible hearing aid?
The Silk Charge&Go IX is a ready-to-wear completely-in-canal device that Signia describes as nearly invisible, fitted the same day rather than custom-moulded. For a fully custom, truly invisible fit, the Insio IX range goes down to a genuine invisible-in-canal (IIC) device. Which suits you depends on your ears, which the assessment confirms.
Does Signia help with tinnitus?
Signia devices include notch therapy, which can ease the perception of tinnitus for some people, and well-fitted amplification often reduces how prominent tinnitus feels. These help at the level of the signal. Distressing tinnitus is best addressed through a structured programme, which we can discuss at your assessment.
Do I need the Brain-based hearing programme as well as Signia aids?
